John Morrison
Head Coach

Coach Morrison begins his 13th year at Parker amassing a record of 102-38-1. Morrison has also served as Head Coach for the USA All-Stars in England, Scotland, and Ireland; Head Coach at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois; Graduate Assistant Football Coach at the University of Minnesota; Guest Assistant Football Coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL;and Assistant Football Coach at Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN. In addition to coaching John also serves as the Upper School Director of Student Support at Parker.

D.J. Walcott
Varsity Offensive/Defensive Line

Coach Walcott enters his 3rd year as the Varsity offensive and defensive line coach at Parker. DJ coached 2 years for Coastal Youth Football. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of San Diego, where he was a two-year starter on the defensive line. DJ was a scholar-athlete award winner at Rancho Buena Vista High School, where he participated in football, wrestling, and track and field. He currently works in the Parker Learning Center.

Coach Fickling is in his 16th year teaching and his 10th year coaching at Parker. He is the English Department Chair, Academic League Coach, Debate Coach, and Director of the Shakespeare Society. He was head JV football coach in the '94, '95 and '96 seasons. Phil played guard and linebacker at Nordhoff High School before going on to play for one year at Yale.

Jamal Howard
Varsity Defensive Backs

Coach Howard returns for his 3rd year as a member of the Lancer coaching staff. Prior to coming to Parker, he spent four years coaching for the Alvarado Pop Warner Organization. Coach Howard played defensive back for both Long Beach State University and New Mexico State University. Jamal is the son of former Chargers defensive back Bobby Howard.

Ryan Guidi
Varsity Defensive Coordinator
Varsity Wide Receivers and Inside Linebackers

Coach Guidi begins his 2nd year as a member of the Lancer coaching staff. Prior to coming to Parker, he spent three years coaching baseball and football at La Jolla High School. Coach Guidi played defensive back at Saint Mary's College, where he received his degree in Kinesiology. Coach Guidi was a All-CIF player in baseball and football at La Jolla High School. He currently is the Pitching coach for the basebal team at Parker, and teaches Physical Education and Health in the San Diego Unified School District.

Matt Morrison
Varsity Offensive Coordinator
Varsity Quarterbacks and Oustide Linebackers

Coach Morrison comes back for his 4th season on staff at Parker. A Parker graduate in 2005, Matt was twice named 1st team All-Coastal League and 1st team All-San Diego Section Division IV as a Lancer quarterback. Morrison played 1 year at the University of Wisconsin as a walk-on before returning to San Diego and beginning his coaching career. Matt is currently a social science major at San Diego State University with plans to graduate in the fall of 2010.

Michael Dutra
JV Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator

Coach Dutra begins his second year at Parker as the junior varsity head coach and offensive coordinator. He coached pop warner football (2004 – 2007) and 8-man tackle football (2005 – 2008) as well as little league baseball (2000 – 2002). Coach Dutra has also enjoyed being a San Diego Chargers season ticket holder for 26 years. He’s native of San Diego and a proud father of two.

Lee Fernandes
JV Defensive Coordinator

Coach Fernandes rejoins the Lancer coaching staff for his 2nd season this fall, bringing a wealth of experience. He has coached 8 man tackle football for the past 4 years, as well as coaching Youth Football for the Coastal Pop Warner Organization since 2002. Coach Fernandes is a father of two, and competed in football, basketball, and soccer in his youth.

Brandon Doll
JV Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs

Coach Doll is in his first year at Parker.  He is a native of Lodi, California, and played football at Lodi High School.  Coach Doll graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005, and is currently a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy stationed in Coronado.  He previously coached at St. Mary's High School in Annapolis, Maryland, helping them to a 9-1 record and a league title in 2005.
