John Morrison
Head Coach

Coach Morrison begins his 14th year at Parker, having amassed a record of 114-40-1. Morrison has also served as Head Coach for the USA All-Stars in England, Scotland, and Ireland; Head Coach at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois; Graduate Assistant Football Coach at the University of Minnesota; Guest Assistant Football Coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL;and Assistant Football Coach at Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN. In addition to coaching John also serves as the Upper School Director of Student Support at Parker.

D.J. Walcott
Varsity Defensive Coordinator
Varsity Offensive/Defensive Line

Coach Walcott begins his first season as the Lancers defensive coordinator, while entering his 4th year as the Varsity offensive and defensive line coach. He coached 2 years for Coastal Youth Football. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of San Diego, where he was a two-year starter on the defensive line. DJ was a scholar-athlete award winner at Rancho Buena Vista High School, where he participated in football, wrestling, and track and field. He currently works in the Parker Learning Center.

Matt Morrison
Varsity Offensive Coordinator
Varsity Quarterbacks and Oustide Linebackers

Coach Morrison is entering his 5th season as a member of the Lancer coaching staff. A Parker graduate in 2005, he was twice named 1st team All-Coastal League and 1st team All-San Diego Section Division IV as a Lancer quarterback, leading the Lancers to the CIF championship game in 2003. Coach Morrison played 1 year at the University of Wisconsin as a walk-on before returning to San Diego obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from San Diego State University.

Brandon Doll
Varsity Wide Receivers and Inside Linebackers

Coach Doll is in his second season with the Parker coaching staff. He is a native of Lodi, California, and played football at Lodi High School. Coach Doll graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005, and is currently a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy stationed in Coronado. He previously coached at St. Mary's High School in Annapolis, Maryland, helping them to a 9-1 record and a league title in 2005.

Jamal Howard
Varsity Defensive Backs

Coach Howard returns for his 4th year as a member of the Lancer coaching staff. Prior to coming to Parker, he spent four years coaching for the Alvarado Pop Warner Organization. Coach Howard played defensive back for both Long Beach State University and New Mexico State University. Jamal is the son of former Chargers defensive back Bobby Howard.

Phil Fickling
JV Head Coach

Coach Fickling is in his 17th year teaching and his 10th year coaching at Parker. He is the English Department Chair, Academic League Coach, Debate Coach, and Director of the Shakespeare Society. Coach Fickling played guard and linebacker at Nordhoff High School before going on to play for one year at Yale.

Ted Mahoney
JV Defensive Coordinator

Coach Mahoney joins the staff for this first season this fall, serving as the JV defensive coordinator. He has spent numerous years coaching youth football and baseball, including time as the defensive backs coach at Torrey Pines High School where he helped the likes of all-pro safety John Lynch.

Coach Mahoney states that "I have always enjoyed the giving back and the teaching of sports. It gives me great satisfaction to be apart of a young persons growth in life and feel sports is a great avenue for that. I look forward to this years challenge!”

He and his wife Jean have two children who attend parker; Their daughter Nicole (2012), and their son Robert (2013).

Scott Crusey
JV Running Backs and Outside Linebackers

Coach Crusey enters his first season on the football staff this fall, though he is no stranger to Parker Athletics. Graduating in 2004, he was twice an all-Coastal league selection as a defensive end. In addition to his football accolades, Coach Crusey was also an all-county volleyball player, leading the lancers to 4 CIF titles during his high school career, and then continuing on to play at the University of Arizona. He is also an assistant coach for the Lancers boys volleyball team.

Nick Saba
JV Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs

Coach Saba returns to the program, this time as coach, having graduated from Parker in 2007. As a wide receiver and linebacker, Coach Saba was selected both as a first team all-conference player, as well as a team captain. In addition to coaching, Coach is finishing his collegiate eduaction at the University of San Diego.
